WELCOME ROBERT O'QUINN - NEW ATHLETIC TRAINER!
WPS Athletics is excited to welcome Robert O’Quinn as Head
As a Kansas native, Robert O’Quinn brings his notable Athletic
Training experience to the Laker community. Robert graduated
from Wichita State University, where he worked with numerous
sports, including the nationally recognized Men’s Basketball
program. He then received his Master’s degree from Kansas State
University, where he worked with Women’s Tennis, and assisted
with Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Baseball, Volleyball, and
Track and Field.
Once Robert moved to Florida, he became the Associate Athletic Trainer at Webber
International University. During his tenure, he served as the Head Athletic Trainer for
Men’s Basketball as well as Men’s and Women’s Golf. Robert also assisted in the
implementation of advanced safety measures of all the student-athletes and oversaw
day-to-day operations of the athletic training clinic.
Robert also has experience working as a therapist within clinical settings, assisting
patients in their rehabilitation progression as an Athletic Trainer for CORA Physical
Therapy. It is within this role that he has also provided outreach care to local Central
Florida High Schools, specifically working as the Director of Sports Medicine for The
Masters Academy over the past year. Robert is ASTYM certified, a certified Kinesio
Tape Practitioner, and a member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association. Robert
and his wife, Danielle are expecting their first son, Legend, due this March, and are
looking forward to becoming a part of the Laker family!
