The Varsity team had a difficult start to the week with a District game at Trinity Prep. The Lakers played a tough game but ended up losing 3-1. Jose Lopez scored the only goal for the Lakers. At the end of the week, the team took on two Nord Anglia Schools. On Thursday, the Lakers faced a competitive North Broward Prep team and fell short 7-4 to North Broward. Jose Lopez tallied 3 goals and Gunnar Studenhofft added the fourth. On Friday, the Lakers had the opportunity to play in front of the Lower School students against the British International School of Houston. It was a great atmosphere on the Upper Field and the Lakers earned a 4-1 victory for the crowd! Gunnar Studenhofft scored two goals, Johan Dale scored 1, and the other was an own goal. A big thank you to the WPS Lower School Staff and students for supporting the team! This week, the Lakers have two District games as they host Lake Highland on Tuesday and travel to The First Academy on Friday. Go Lakers!

Last week, the Laker JV team played Windermere High School and fell short 7-0 against a very tough team. The Lakers plan to regroup as they take on West Oaks Academy today. Good luck, Lakers!

The Middle School team was back in action last week. First, the Lakers hosted Orangewood. After a great start, the game, unfortunately, ended 3-2 to Orangewood. Will Prunty and Parker Davis tallied goals for the team. The team then traveled to TFA on Thursday where the Lakers dominated the game and brought home a 1-1 tie with Jaxon McCormick scoring the only goal for the Lakers. This week, the team is on the road as they take on Lake Mary Prep, Trinity Prep, and Foundation Academy. Let’s go, Lakers!
