The Windermere Prep Cross-Country team ran well at the Early Hawk Invitational at Lake Minneola High School this past Saturday. The Varsity runners were led by Andrew Hammer and Mirabella Miranda. Hammer set a season-best time of 19:08. On Monday, the Middle School runners ran excellent times! The Girls team won the meet again and were paced by Sade Latinen who finished in 1st place. The Boys were led by Lorenzo Allwood’s 3rd place finish. This Wednesday, all of the runners will compete at WPS in the first annual Windermere Prep XC Relays. The relay meet will also serve as Senior Day to honor Andrew Caylor and Andrew Hammer. Come out and support your home team and honor two longtime Lakers! This week, Varsity team will be off on Saturday and back in action on September 29th at West Orange High School. The Middle School team will compete for the GOAC Championship next Monday. Go Lakers! #OneTeam # GreaterThings
