Keith Walsh has been a head coach in Central Florida over the past 10 years. His teams are known for playing the game the right way, with passion, focus, and determination. As a teacher and a mentor to his players, student-athletes not only learn how to play the game the right way, but they also learn about responsibility, commitment, and the value of hard work.

Coach Walsh is a native of Central Florida, graduating from Lake Brantley High School, and then pursuing baseball at the collegiate level at North Carolina State and UCF. Upon graduating, he continued his passion for the game in the coaching arena. Serving as a Head Coach at Umatilla and Edgewater High Schools, Coach Walsh has found success. Upon taking over at Umatilla High School, he instilled discipline, work ethic, and commitment. In doing so, his teams’ records improved every year that he was at the helm. During his three seasons as head coach at Edgewater High School, his teams finished the regular season as the #1 seed all three years, earned two District Championships, two appearances in Regional play, a Regional Championship, and made history in taking the team to its first and only Final Four appearance for the school in 65 years.

Coach Walsh also served as the head coach of the Orlando Scorpions Top 16U team for over 8 years where his teams won multiple championships that included the Junior Olympics, Perfect Game BCS National Championship, and Runner-Up in the WWBA National Championship in Atlanta. He has also assisted many of his players in reaching their dreams of playing at the collegiate and professional level, which include multiple ACC, SEC, and BIG10 schools, as well as many others.

Coach Walsh will be joining the Windermere Prep community accompanied by his wife, Maggie and three boys Baylor (11), Bryce (7), and Barrett (3). He is thrilled to be a part of the Windermere Prep Family and cannot wait to get on the field as a Laker!
