Basketball Continues to Cruise
Across the board, the WPS Boys Basketball Program continues to find success. On Monday, the 7th grade team took on Trinity Prep to win 45-30. Leading the Lakers were Cole Nabavi with 18 points and Kaden Lucas with 12 points. The 8th grade team earned a nail-biting win 32-31 against Foundation Academy. Eric Casaburi (16 points) and Tyson Hanning (5 points) led the offensive effort. The JV squad dominated FCCS 74-46 with Zuhaib Khan adding 21 points and Jeffrey Watson shooting 20 points.
On Tuesday, the 6th grade team trounced St. Luke’s 46-6 with Myles Davis and Hunter Goldberg leading the charge. The 8th grade boys also earned a close victory against St. Luke’s with a score of 30-25. Leading the Lakers once again was Eric Casaburi and Tyson Hanning. Finally, the Varsity Team wrapped up the evening with an impressive 83-17 victory over Circle Christian. Mitch Siegel added 32 points while going 10-15 from behind the three point line, setting a new WPS record for most three pointers in a game!
